Spring has not yet sprung…

but it is not that far away.

I often struggle for inspiration through Spring which may seem a bit odd. After all, it is the time of year when all the new growth is bright and fresh, farm animals are all cute and cuddly, and all seems well with the world.

Trouble is it is an annual event and tends to, er, repeat itself. So, our challenge is to think differently. What can we do? Well, maybe get down and dirty with snowdrops? Lie next to them, throw the aperture wide open and place them in their environment. Maybe open that aperture again and strike out boldly for springy lambs with all four hooves off the ground.

But, wherever we go, Spring is THE surprise season – so don’t let it catch you out this year.

This is the River Usk at Gliffaes in the Brecon Beacons (in Spring!) – hopefully it qualifies. And daffodils are, after all, our National Flower.

I am looking forward to some spring photography in early May in Wales! I don’t think I have taken many photos in spring so far, but having the time, and being in beautiful surroundings must surely give us plenty to see and photograph!

The locations you have selected should be good for this Astrid. Have a great Spring photo trip to Wales 🙂

Springtime…the season of Spring. A lovely time of the year when new life starts emerging, new beginnings bringing us joy and happiness. When I think of Spring I think of Daffodils and Bluebell woods. A great time for photography. I tend to use my macro lens quite a lot in Springtime, getting up close and personal capturing the beauty of nature. I love to take the big scene too with the colour that Springtime brings. So many photographic opportunities!!! You can’t help but fall in love with Spring.
