Season of Fruits and Mellow Fungusness…

One of the things I just love about autumn is the opportunity to go for woodland walks. In the last two walks I have done, today and last Thursday, I have found (and, of course, photographed) spiders on their webs, a baby palmate newt, two excellent porcelain fungus specimens (lots of dead beechwood in my woodland) and the amazement of watching nature slowly closing most of the plant life down for the winter ahead.
Don’t take my word for it; grab your camera and SLOWLY walk through a woodland ride. Look left, right, above and below. I absolutely guarantee you will be amazed at how much there is to see and photograph.
Go on! Stop sitting round reading this drivel. GET OUT THERE 🙂

Unfortunately we are short of woodland walks in this area, but almost as rewarding is an early morning walk across the common/heath where snails, spiders and their webs are plentiful, and backlit webs are just magical. I love autumn 🙂

I did Nick! I did get out. Autumn is my favourite time of the year purely because of the colours. Took my new A77 to Pontypool Parkand came away with some stunners even if I do say so myself! Posted them on my Facebook under an album called Autumns Glory if you fancy a peek?
